Iko Uwais Akan Menjadi Spiderman

KIPRAH aktor laga Indonesia, Iko Uwais, kian moncer. Setelah sukses menembus Hollywood lewat film The Raid 1 dan 2 yang disusul Man of Tai Chi yang dibintanginya bareng Keanu Reeves, suami artis Audy Item itu disebut-sebut bakal bermain di sekuel Star Wars Episode VII yang akan diputar pada akhir tahun ini.

Belum usai kabar tersebut, ada informasi terbaru yang lebih menghebohkan karena aktor Betawi yang bernama asli Uwais Qorny itu disebut juga tengah dilirik untuk memerankan manusia laba-laba dalam film seri blockbuster, Spiderman.

Sekembalinya Spiderman ke pangkuan Marvel Studios dari Sony Pictures, memang ada perubahan mendasar pada waralaba (franchise) film superhero tersebut. Film manusia laba-laba yang terkenal dengan jaring putihnya itu akan memulai awal baru karena Andrew Garfield dinyatakan tidak lagi akan  memerankan tokoh Spidey.

Apalagi, Empire Online memberitakan bahwa sekuel terbaru Spiderman di bawah Marvel yang akan dirilis pada 28 Juli 2017 akan lebih banyak menyorot kehidupan sang manusia laba-laba di usia dewasa.

Hal tersebut tentu bikin gonjang-ganjing industri perfilman tentang siapa yang akan memperoleh kesempatan untuk menjadi Spiderman. Rumornya, Marvel dan Sony sedang melirik bintang-bintang muda Hollywood karena beberapa pemeran tokoh kunci dalam rangkaian film Marvel Cinematic Universe rata-rata memang tak muda lagi.

Sebagaimana dilansir First Showing, ternyata ada nama Iko yang masuk dalam list para aktor calon pemeran Spiderman. Pemeran Rama dalam The Raid itu disebut-sebut memiliki kemampuan yang mumpuni di film action yang membuat namanya layak diperhitungkan.

“Uwais cukup berkharisma. Penampilannya sedikit geek dan dia punya aura pahlawan super. Dia juga bisa berakting komedi, drama, maupun laga. Memikirkan kemampuan laga, kecepatan, dan kegarangan Uwais dalam balutan kostum Spiderman membuat sangat antusias. Dia memang tua, 32 tahun, tapi terlihat tetap muda dan sangat cocok untuk peran tersebut,” tulis Anderton dalam ulasan editorialnya di First Showing.

Namun, ada satu hal yang cukup membuat ragu, apakah Iko layak memerankan Peter Parker. Yakni, kemampuannya berbahasa Inggris.
